Before you start:
Tip #1 – Choose a good headshot and use the same one for each network – it reinforces your brand.
Tip #2 – Link each of your social media networks to each other.
Tip #3 – Create a list of keywords that describe your business and what you do. You will use these words in each profile as appropriate.
LinkedIn: Complete your entire profile, including keywords in your Professional Headline (don’t just put your title) and in your Specialties. For a step by step guide, watch this video:
Facebook: Set up your Business Page – check out this video:
Twitter: Upload your headshot and include a bio, check out some examples (Note: a sense of humor and/or some personalization fits with this social network). You can customize your background using Twitter’s options or have custom designed backgrounds that drive to action.
Google+ : Create your page using the category best suited to your enterprise. Add a picture and tagline. Fill out your Page information as completely as possible, and upload several pictures (5) that represent your business. Google’s video tip is as follows:
